Door holders are usually used in confined places where there is a large gathering, like theater halls, department stores or individual room or apartment, like hotels or offices. When connected to a fire-alarm, the door holder will release when alarm is triggered, thus closing the door and preventing smoke getting into the room or apartment.
Vanguard produces 5 models of door holders, in basic, with switch, extended magnet,floor mounted and flush mounted. The holding force is approximately 50 kgs. for each model.
